VP Federal Sales

Location: Washington DC area

The Senior Director/Vice President of Federal Sales is an innovative sales executive who can develop and execute successful sales results, and an inspirational leader who can empower others and hold them accountable to achieve results. This position will have primary responsibility for development of the company's Federal new business development and sales, ensuring the achievement of quarterly sales goals. New business development and sales growth will be of significant importance. This position is based out of the Washington D.C. area and reports directly to the Senior Vice President of WW Sales and Channels.

Job Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the current team, partners to develop and launch long term strategic sales and marketing initiatives
  • Identifying and making sales calls on targeted C level executives within the Federal Agency and key partners
  • Develop and grow the teams to meet the company sales goals and objectives
  • Mentoring and leading the current staff, leveraging their individual strengths. Successfully translating business requirements into team deliverables.
  • Assisting Sales Directors in representing the company through key market visits, presentations and sales prospecting. Responsible to take over from the lead and close the deals by providing innovative solutions based on client's needs
  • Assuring proper on-going account and channel management
  • Participating in negotiating contracts, pricing and terms

Required Qualifications

  • Ten (10) plus years of Federal sales and marketing management experience required
  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Business or related field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Exceptional, demonstrated consultative skills. Ability to craft a solution with services that meet business goals based on client discussions
  • Proven success prospecting, building a pipeline, moving opportunities through the sales cycle; proposing, presenting and discussing solutions with C level and other decision makers
  • Demonstrated experience directly leading sales teams, with an impeccable ability to impact and influence through a collaborative approach
  • An effective, persuasive speaker and writer who can communicate effectively with both internal client management and external client groups
  • A self-starter, confident in his/her ability, self-motivated and able to work effectively with little supervision
  • Responsible to generate significant sales growth yearly
  • Abilitilty to be flexible in your schedule
  • Travel required
  • Experience with Desktop Virtualization, Cloud Computing highly desirable
