Channel Program Manager

Location: San Jose, California

Wyse Technology is currently looking for an upbeat, creative, and well-organized marketing and training specialist to join the North American channel team promoting Wyse market leading cloud client computing solutions. As an integral part of the organization, the Channel Program Manager is responsible for developing, maintaining, and delivering Wyse product and program content and training materials across the channel community.

This individual will report directly to our Director of Channel Programs at our San Jose, CA headquarters.

Job Responsibilities

  • Create communication plans for partners including messaging, launch plans, programs, collateral, and training
  • Collaborate and implement profitability, awareness, loyalty, or other programs to effectively drive channel behavior to enable channel sales growth
  • Evaluate partner program opportunities based on consistency with overall business goals and marketing strategy, as well as the financial ROI, brand synergy, potential impact/visibility, and execution requirements
  • Conduct research benchmarking on Wyse's channel programs ensuring a competitive position, 5-Star program status, differentiated value proposition, support of recruiting and retention strategies
  • Consult directly with channel partners to define, develop and validate marketing initiatives, programs, products and training
  • Develop and present live training classes and web based workshops both internally and to the partner community. Ensure training modules are current and available for partners; track key performance indicators of the program and provide weekly reports to management
  • Ensure that enablement and portal content is up to date and complete as new resources and tools are developed

Required Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of the virtualization market and related technologies
  • Experience planning and building training content for sales and partner organization
  • Demonstrated track record of implementing successful cross-functional channel strategies and programs
  • Ability to identify trends and propose business modifications resulting in growth and/or improved process efficiency
  • Excellent organizational skills including clear goal/work plan setting, multi-tasking abilities, and utilizing resources effectively and efficiently
  • Creative with new and unique ideas; is seen as a value-added individual and original thinker
  • A minimum of 5 - 7 years of channel (multi-tier channels, distribution, and resellers) marketing/program development experience in a high-tech environment
  • Experience/understanding of virtualization technologies including solutions from Citrix, Microsoft, and VMware is highly preferred
  • Flexibility to travel when necessary
  • Training background highly desired
  • Bachelors degree required
