Senior GL Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Prepare complex journal entries and ensure the timely closing of the Corporate’s books. Activities include review of close tasks, coordination and information gathering from business owners in order to prepare close analyses and entries; review of quarterly and annual reconciliation procedures.
• Prepare account reconciliations and take the appropriate actions to clear all reconciling items.
• Perform financial statement analyses and document meaningful explanations for fluctuations for management and auditors.
• Develop and implement process improvements, document desktop procedures and processes, and implement them with minimal supervision. This includes processes which require increased coordination with Finance and with other departments.
• Account for equity and benefit programs, inclusive of review of stock options transactions.
• Complete monthly and quarterly financial close process with responsibility over general ledger close activities. 

Requirements:

• 5-7 + years Corporate Accounting with strong GAAP experience, a mix of private and public accounting experience is ideal. 
• BS or BA in accounting or similar degree, CPA preferred.
• Self-starter who thrives in a dynamic, rapidly growing and fast-paced environment.
• Strong ERP systems experience required, SAP experience preferred. Ability to work with IT directly for process improvement projects.
• Detail oriented with excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels of management.
