Senior Director, Product Marketing

Location: San Jose, California

As a Senior Director of Product Marketing, you will report to our Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer and be responsible for leading and directly participating in the outbound marketing activities for Wyse products, including the innovative cloud client story overall, and our leading cloud clients, management software, virtualization software, and cloud software.  You must be able to interface effectively and establish quick credibility and confidence with: engineering, product team, customer support, business development, operations, sales, channel management, channel partners, and direct customers worldwide.

This requires an extremely talented and flexible individual with strong presentation skills, adept business knowledge, organizational abilities, who is capable of bridging customer business requirements to technical feature set and broader market trends, indices, and capabilities.  You will craft messaging and positioning for products. You'll work with the marketing and product team to conceive and develop products and innovative marketing programs that drive demand. Attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits is crucial.  In your role, you will be the expert in buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria and will transfer that knowledge to the sales channel.

Job Responsibilities

  • On stage promotional and evangelization of the Wyse value proposition, in front of groups from 1 to 5,000. Large format speaking ability is a requirement.
  • Participate directly, and lead a small team that develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates our story and products in the market
  • Sales enablement – communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of our products
  • Product launch – plan the overall launch strategy of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan
  • Market intelligence – be the expert on our buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria; be the expert on our competition and how to crush them
  • Demand generation – develop the strategy and manage the marketing programs that drive demand for our products

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software and hardware product marketing experience with at least 3 years experience in a field facing role, channel and vertical market understanding key
  • Master’s or bachelor’s in business or marketing.  MBA preferred
  • Exceptionally strong logic, written and oral communication skills
  • Willing to travel 25%
  • Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues and cross-functional teams, and third parties
