Regional Sales Manager

Location: Mid-Atlantic Territory

We are currently looking for a Regional Sales Manager (RSM) for the Mid-Atlantic Territory. This position will be home office based, with the majority of each day spent in the field visiting clients and reseller partners. The territory consists of Maryland, DC, Virginia, West Virginia and Kentucky. The ideal candidate will live in the MD, DC, or Northern VA area.

Position requires 7+ years experience selling technical solutions to Enterprise, SMB and Public Sector (state & local) customers. Demonstrated ability to develop and manage an assigned geographical territory consisting of major end customers, resellers, VARs and other strategic partners is essential. Candidates must be highly motivated and have the ability to develop and execute sales strategies that grow existing revenues as well as penetrate new accounts. Candidates must have a strong working knowledge of desktop virtualization, cloud computing and thin clients with an existing book of enterprise and reseller contacts in the assigned geographical territory to be seriously considered. Being motivated by rewards and recognition is a must!

Job Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed assigned sales and product objectives in the territory on a consistent basis.
  • Create and update a pipeline driven forecast to ensure achievement of revenue and growth goals.
  • Identify and understand customer needs and promote solutions using Wyse products, programs, and services.
  • Ability to apply return on investment analysis to sales situations when negotiating a deal.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills that effectively articulate the benefits of the Wyse solution.
  • Proactively establish new contacts and develop/maintain senior level relationships and work all levels of the organization.
  • Establish/maintain strong working relationships with local VARs, resellers and partners in assigned territory and demonstrate the ability to leverage said relationships.
  • Ability to conduct high-level product training working independently from System Engineers.
  • Flexibility to travel within the assigned geography as well various other meetings when necessary.
  • Submit necessary reports to document progress, activities and issues.
  • Hold/chair weekly calls with inside selling team and sales engineer to review pipeline, deal status and quarter to date revenue data.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (in Business or related discipline) preferred.
  • 7+ years field selling experience to enterprise, SMB, local & state government (healthcare, education), etc.
  • 7+ years of channel sales experience developing territories and new business.
  • Industry knowledgeable with respect to product, channels and customers.
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Outstanding written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills a must.
  • Successful candidate thrives in a fast paced, competitive environment and strives to win.
  • Must be able to handle overnight travel on a semi-regular or as-needed basis.
