Description

  1. Provide day to day tax support to Singapore, India, Malaysia, Indonesia and Philippines (southeast regions) operations
  2. Provide managerial level of support in trade matters for Singapore import and export regulations. 
  3. Provide day to day tax and trade support to the Singapore regional headquarter
    1. Liaison with the EDB and Singapore Customs
    2.  Manage the fulfillment of the EDB incentive requirements
    3.  Local manufacturing
    4.  Supply chain
    5. System sales
    6. Service 
  4. Tax projects
    1.  Singapore regional headquarter general & administration (G&A) expense allocation
    2. Assist on IP project
    3.   Manage G&A allocation for Malaysia branch
    4.  Look for tax saving opportunities
    5. Keep current on tax rules and regulations, and highlight any impact or propose action to Global Tax, the Singapore regional headquarter management
  5. Tax and Trade compliance
    1.  Manage income tax filing, and estimated tax payment for all Applied entities in the Southeast regions
    2.  Manage GST/VAT and stamp tax filing
    3.  Liaison with tax authorities   
    4.  Coordinate interim and annual Finance audit with local KPMG and Global KPMG
    5. Work with outside consultants on tax adjustments from annual statutory audit
    6. Prepare tax packages for US tax compliance requirement
    7.  Prepare tax provision schedules
    8.  Coordinate with tax consultants for all tax issues
    9.  Prepare FIN 48 questionnaire, and review FIN 48 report with KPMG
    10.  Prepare Singapore export license amendments as needed
    11. Supervise staff of (1) Trade Analyst
    12.  Management of Singapore Tier 3 permit and US SCL control programs
    13. Management of Singapore Customs requirements to ensure compliance with import laws
    14.  Interface with Global Trade staff in strategy for compliance programs
  6. Inter-company (I/C) transactions
    1. Manage I/C commission booking
    2.  Oversee I/C transactions between the Singapore regional headquarter and other Applied entities
    3. Support and follow up with all the I/C agreements to ensure they are current
  7. Transfer pricing
    1.  Review and ensure meeting profit target for all Applied Southeast region entities including branches
    2.  Manage necessary transfer pricing documentation preparation for all Applied Southeast region entities including branches
  8. M&A project and legal entity liquidation project planning and support
Qualifications

Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical ability.
  • Strong negotiating and cross-organizational resolution abilities.
  • Ability to travel internationally

Education
Minimum:

  • BS in Finance or other related field, and 10-12+ years related experience, or equivalent,
  • Including 5 years of supervisory/management experience.

Preferred

  • MBA level degree
  • CPA/CMA.
