Key Responsibilities -
Data Comprehension:
• Understand the nuances and caveats associated with data elements based on the internal meta data (Online access panel) and/or a MR project involving end client.
• Understand what types of analyses is appropriate for specific data elements or sets of data elements within BA’s online panel dbase or external MR project.
• Understand the business questions and accurately determine which data elements would be appropriate for inclusion in analysis and what type of analysis would be appropriate for addressing the business question.
• Proactively propose analytical approaches to help address business questions.
Data Processing/Analytics:
• Manipulate data using cross-tabulation programs, statistical packages, MS Excel, and/or other database applications to produce appropriate and accurate analyses as required.
• Work with cross-tabulation software to develop appropriate banners, filters, new variables, etc. to produce data tables that can provide answers to business/research objectives.
• Work with data in Microsoft Excel formats to conduct appropriate tabulation and statistical analysis, including pivot tables to address business/panel dbase questions.
• Develop expertise in proprietary panel databases and other data sources to pull data accurately as needed to answer business/panel dbase related questions.
Optional:
• Work with statistical packages to conduct basic bi-variate and advanced multivariate analyses to address business/research questions.
• Identify appropriate data sub-sets or segments from larger parent databases for segment-based analytics.
Requirement -
• Graduate degree in marketing research, business/marketing, statistics, econometrics, or related field with 4-5 years of work experience (preferably on vendor side) with exposure to data processing, statistical analysis, and database manipulation.
• Expert level experience with SPSS, Microsoft Excel and Pivot Tables.
• Solid experience in working with cross-tabulation packages such as SPSS / Quantum / Quanvert / WinCross etc.
Location -
• Bangalore, India.
Scope -
• This is a lead position who will independently manage the role of expert DP/Analysis requirements emerging within the online panel dataset.
• The work will include servicing Panel Engagement teams as well as external clients as and when need occurs.
Work Timings -
• The company deals majorly with international clients, hence the incumbent must be open to work on flexible timings.
