Altisource Portfolio Solutions is a provider of services focused on high value, knowledge-based functions principally related to real estate and mortgage portfolio management, asset recovery and customer relationship management. Utilizing integrated technology that includes decision models and behavioral based scripting engines, we provide solutions that improve our clients’ performance and maximize their returns.

Altisource has three primary business segments including:

Mortgage Services - Mortgage portfolio management services that span the mortgage lifecycle (e.g. origination, valuation, closing and title services, default management services, asset management and component services)

Technology Products – REALSuite of applications (residential and commercial loan servicing, loss mitigation, vendor management and electronic invoice presentment and payment software) as well as our IT infrastructure services

Financial Services - asset recovery and customer relationship management

Altisource is developing a reputation as the preeminent technology enabled, knowledge based provider of its services. Our focus is on leveraging technology and a global service delivery model to provide highly efficient, accurate support of the industries we service. Unique intellectual property, such as behavioral-science principles, artificial intelligence driven scripting engines and risk decision models are used to reduce performance variability and improve compliance and overall performance for Altisource and its clients.

Altisource is seeking a highly qualified energetic individual within Luxembourg to (i) lead the accounting policy functions worldwide; and (ii) serve in a Controller role for supported organizations where Altisource provides the accounting. This position will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer who is also based in Luxembourg and will be responsible for the following responsibilities.

• Development of Accounting Policies, applicable for world-wide operations
• Analyzing new and proposed accounting standards and preparing detailed interpretive accounting guidance for assessing the impact to the Company
• Providing advice on ad-hoc technical accounting issues as they arise
• Participating in the design and execution of technical accounting training, covering both new and existing requirements
• Provide regular updates to senior management
• Serve as controller in situations where Altisource is hired to provide accounting resources for third-party companies

Key Result Areas:

Given our international structure and dynamic environment we need someone who can understand the application of US GAAP and IFRS to existing operations, services under development and acquisition targets quickly and efficiently.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years experience in policy and controller functions with experience in a growing, multi-national organization. CPA or CA required with strong technical accounting knowledge. We are looking for a strong leader with excellent communication skills that wants to make a difference in a high-growth environment. A four year financial degree from an accredited University with an advanced degree in business administration or finance preferred.
