Program Manager – Non Linear


Responsibilities:

  1. Work with sales and account teams to sell services
  2. Initiate projects and approve project plans
  3. Co-ordination of products / projects 
  4. Approve delivery of projects
  5. Liaison with the customers and obtain feedback on project completion
  6. Ensure timely technical support to customer complaints
  7. Ensure Customer Satisfaction
  8. Ensure that Resource (Hardware, Software, People and any other) requirements for the Development Team are fulfilled.
  9. Responsible for timely completion of Projects, Delivery.
  10. Post-project reviews
  11. Review Project Management Reports, periodic status reports: e.g
    1. Project status report 
    2. Project Performance Report & Escalate deviations to Management
    3. Initiate steps leading to process improvement 
    4. Motivate/Mentor and build the teams, manage their performances
      1. Facilitate for effective team working
      2. Effectively conduct performance reviews and arbitration
    5. 14 Set up and monitor the performance goals/plans for the project teams including product specialists
    6. 14 Direct teams 
      1. Set objectives for the project, periodically review 
      2. Oversee project organization and staffing 
      3. Review & Approve Estimation
      4. Review risk management and contingency planning
    16 Coordinates and review the work of project managers and product specialists

    Skill Set:

    • 10+ years development experience 
    • Project Management knowledge/experience for 5+ years
    • Presales, business development experience for 2+ years
    • Should have proven capabilities as a leader, should have handled 50+ people
    • PMP certification is desired


    Education:

    • BS Degree in Engineering, Masters or Bachelors Degree in software related technology with 10+ years of relevant experience
    • 8+ years of experience in leading a team
    • Should have 6+ years of Development experience in software as a Project Manager  


    Career Path & Requirements:

    • A minimum of 2 years experience as Program Manager is required to be considered for promotion to Associate Director in addition to the following:
      • Should be able to technically manage Product / Projects. 
      • Should be able to manage team size of 50+ members


    Training Required:

    • Program Management
    • Excellent Communication skills
    • Metrics collection and usage
    • Process Knowledge


    Accountability:


    • Responsible for the outcome of the program 
    • Team building, motivation and retention 
    • The PM focuses primarily on coordination with the customer/sponsor and stakeholders, and resolving and escalating important issues, risks and concerns.
