Expectation:
5+ years hands-on experience as a Database Developer using Oracle and Unix or Linux, 5+ years of professional hands-on development experience in Oracle PL/SQL.

Technical Skills :

• Mandatory Required Skills & Experience : 
• Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL and analytical SQL
• Experience with tuning and optimizing database performance (Oracle 9i and/or 10G)
• Should have hands on experience in following advanced topics:
• Pipelined functions
• Bulk load
• Collections
• Handling complex ref cursors
• Parallelizing the PLSQL units
• Logging using DBMS_APPLICATION_INFO package
• PLSQL unit testing and building framework for the same
• Code Expert utility

Good to have skills :

• Experience with APEX (htmldb) a plus
• Experience with Oracle Streams also a plus
• Extensive PERL and shell script programming skills
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• Team-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal, planning, coordination, and problem solving skills
• High degree of initiative and the ability to work independently and follow-through on assignments
• Strong trouble shooting skills and ability to help guide junior members of the team is a must.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide 'best practices' knowledge of business processes, requirements gathering and developing database development systems
• Monitor and manage database development requests through their lifecycle and validate the technical solution meets the business requirements
• Develop database applications using Oracle Packages and PL/SQL
• Work directly with engineers to troubleshoot, debug and educate them on database best practices
• Monitor, evaluate and advise on all issues that relate to any system projects
• Develop documentation, training and other materials as needed by team members. Lead end user training when necessary
• Develop, manage and maintain both logical and physical database models.
