Definition
Responsible for the development and execution of test plans, test scenarios and test cases for all functionalities assigned. Test Engineer also investigates problems uncovered during testing, recreating those problems as appropriate and executing fix validations.

Key responsibilities

• As a QA Engineer/Lead you will work as part of a team responsible for debugging software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for Company's products.
• Responsible for the team to develop, modify and execute software test plans, analyze and write test standards and procedures, maintain documentation of results and consult with development engineers in resolution of problems.
• As part of the Research and Development function, the overall focus of the group is on competitive market and customer requirements, technology advances, product quality, product cost and time-to-market
• A major part of your responsibility would be to lead and participate as part of a team responsible for:
• Gathering test requirements
• Developing, implementing and executing test plans
• Test scripts
• Test reports
• Test summaries
• Ability to read and understand software and/or hardware design specifications.
• Participate in design reviews and make recommendations for product improvements
• You will participate in technical communications within the team and with other groups associated with specified projects.
• A willingness to work on additional tasks and responsibilities that will contribute towards team, department, and company goals.

Job Skills

MUST HAVE: WORK EXPERIENCE

• At least 2.5+ years experience in writing test cases and test scripts, executing test cases.
• Experience in management of defects and issues. Good Understanding of defect stages
• Ability to read and understand system requirements and system design documents and produce preliminary test plans and test cases.
• Ability to perform defect analysis and collaborate with development team members to ensure resolution.
• Good Experience in Unix/Linux/Windows.
• Ability to read and understand software and/or hardware design specifications.
• Proficient or at least good understanding of Apache, Javascript, PHP, PERL and BASH scripting
