Principle software Engineer

Responsibility:

1 Active involvement in functional analysis and design
2 Creation of FS and Design documents
3 Lead and track work of associated members
4 Creation of the Unit Specifications
5 Review and update the unit specification prepared by team members
6 Get the timely review and approval done on the Unit Specifications
7 Understanding the Unit Specification/work assignment clearly before starting the
implementation
8 Write Unit Test Cases based on  Unit Specification
9 Review of Unit Test Cases created by others
10 Efficient Programming in the required technology independently adhering to coding
standards
11 Carry out code walk-through with the reviewer
12 Carry out code review  of others
13 Test the program as per the approved Unit Test Cases and document them
14 Complete the required documentation for the work done
15 Resolve issues, interact with QC and documentation teams
16 Meet the objectives set for the project during the project initiation meeting with respect to
number of Bugs, efforts, schedule, process compliance etc.,
17 Build competencies in TechnologyProduct / Domain
18 Communicate the following to reporting manager :

• Completion of work
• Any persistent technical difficulties faced 

19 Suggest alternative solutions to the problem proactively
20 Maintain and update the daily timesheet as per the work assigned
21 Actively participate and contribute in the team meetings

Skills Set:
4-6 years of Software development experience
Technical knowledge- Java/Jsp/servlets/Hibernate

Education:
BS Degree in Engineering, Masters or Bachelors Degree in software related technology with 4+
years of relevant experience                
or
Graduate in any discipline, with additional qualifications in computer science and 5+ years of
relevant experience
